The Problem with New Software

Winamp’s new Bento theme is quite beautiful to look at. However, it steals more memory than a Gypsy at a whopping 245MB.

Winamp’s classic skin? 4.6MB

Just play my damn music without eating my machine alive you greedy thing.

    At least you don’t have to use proprietary software to play your music. Like some of my Zune Marketplace music / videos which have to be played in the Zune player. After 4 hours of media my Zune player was using 380 meg of memory – w00t. Not great on a laptop that has 1 gig of ram.
