I have decided to switch themes, as the old design had several major drawbacks. I had to manually type in the administration link, friends and other links were missing, and using the fixed width, it seemed like most of the screen real estate was wasted. I decided on “Steam” by Samir M. Nassar. Interestingly, most of the WordPress templates that I found on http://alexking.org/projects/wordpress/themes are a fixed width. This current trend doesn’t take advantage of the widescreen display trend creating an interesting paradox. Maybe fixed width pages became popular because of widescreen as it is often difficult to read completely across the screen and come back to the far left and land on the right line.
