For those that haven’t used Picaso yet, check it out. This looks to be one of the better photo managment programs that I have seen in a while, with Digikam being a close second to me. Picaso was released for Linux recently, and I have just touched the surface of what it can do. Below is a collage of photos with some effects that I did in about 10 minutes.

    Picasa for linux seems to a really great port. The story behind it was interesting too. It was on the googleblog. Apparently thy actually used google staff to contribute to the wine project and it is the same app as the window program, just running on wine.

    I love Picasa, I use it all the time, it’s quick ability to read RAW files and export as JPG at whaever size I want is awesome. I do wish we could do subfolders though.
