During my morning drive into work, I was listening to the Regular Guys on AM 640. Cari Dean comes in with a breaking news story about a Cherry Picker truck that had been hijacked and wrecked on Rex Rd. Since I drive the entire length of Rex into work, so I knew I would have to see it. After all of the buildup on radio, the actual accident was very satisfying. There was like 10 police cars, firetrucks, ambulances, and D.O.T. trucks detouring traffic around the scene of the massive wreck. The driver (I think) tried to run the light and ended up swirving into a ditch and swinging the rear of the truck across both lanes of traffic. So after so delay I continue on to class with the instructor with the stick up his ass about people being late.

In other, non-cool, news I celebrated this weekend by having a LAN party. It was small, but very fun. Two friends from high school were there and we played Empire Earth II, Pariah, and a couple other games. We fired up the projector and watched some Robot Chicken episodes, laughed until it hurt, played Doom III, and tried to watch Equilibrium but passed out from exaustion.

Sunday, I had a FANTASTIC evening with my sweetie at Outback Steakhouse. I think the service there has been the best I have ever experienced. We got back and had some much needed “together time” after a trying week. Life is finally back on track. Taxes are over, no tests coming up, no pending deadlines of any sort. I have also decided to ditch the “diet” because it makes me feel like crap. I am going to move back to good old exercise, now that the weather is beautiful.

I heard about the cherrie picker wreck this morning too. I was just sad that I was driving the opposite direction. πŸ™‚ And I’m glad that you are ditching that diet. I was worried about your health here lately. I also had a fantastic time last night. I’m glad we went there instead of trying Arizonas cause they have some of the most awesome food at Outback.

Excercise is superior to dieting in all forms, unless your current diet consists of eating nothing but solid chocolate bricks every hour on the hour. Diet is just “die” with a t. Nyah, some friends also wanted Lee’s autograph. They are big fans of his AMVs, but I couldn’t really figure out a non-awkward way to ask, so I didn’t.

The LAN started by just being me and Lee, and I found out Jeff was in town and he is down the street. If you want a LAN – I’ll give you a LAN. Just tell me when… This time I am inviting James Fries too!
