For those who have not yet heard the announcement from the morning meeting at the HUB: Debye has turned in her two week resignation from her position in OITS. I will be saddened to see her go. She was a fantastic manager, and had a great sense of humor. She said that no one was sure yet who would fill her position, but she hopes that it is someone that we are able to work well with. I don’t think anyone is really sure why she quit, so I asked her and she said there were “several factors”. If anyone hears anything more – let me know, because I am kinda confused.
I will miss you Debye – and good luck in your endeavors!

Debye has been one of the pillars of the HUB since its inception. This is going to be a huge loss for the HUB and CCSU as a whole. There is no way we can replace her, but we will get through this. I wish her the best and all the free time to spend with her grandbaby.

Well I am saddened that she is leaving she has been one of the best bosses I have ever had. I hope we can find some one willing to carry on her legacy. Hopefully some one in the department..

Isn’t it kinda tradition on the 2nd to post a “haha I got you good you fucker” thing that explains what an April fool anyone who believed this is? I could be wrong and just tired of people asking me if she is really leaving. But it was a good joke none the less.
