It seems she was using a network cable to connect her modem to the telephone jack on the wall. ::sigh::
I told her that she would need to use a telephone cord to connect her modem to her telephone jack.
She asked me why the line was busy when she dialed, and I told her because we were using the phone line to talk to each other.
She has DSL at the house so I recommended io.clayton.edu as a better alternative for her to quickly check her email.

Now does anyone want to guess what department this lady works with? Thats right, Information Technology. God help us all.
Sounds like a normal day of sheer stupidity. One of the things that pisses me off most in life, yes thats right stupidity and that as we deal with all day…and folks wonder why I get mad at the drop of a hat when I am not in the public’s eye. Well you see it right there, thank goodness for Bombay….

Okay, so you’ve shown that you actually do stuff… Now what about the other 39.75 hours you’re on the clock?! 😀

if he is like any of the rest of us in that room he is answering phones for a person that is supposed to be doing the same but just bought an item that prevents them from hearing the phones ring so that the phones that are a shared responsibility at all times of the day do not disrupt a project that is further over due than me winning the lottery. I am not saying I do not appreciate all that everyone does down there, but damn if it did not start off with everything a lot more shared down there…and more got done thats for damn sure. And you know I will hear bout this on monday but I have said this before so it is nothing new.

to let any of you know this was not directed at any one person. And for the one that may think it is, it is not just that was the last example that has been repeated to me over and fucking over again all this week.
