I changed the look of the website some, without ostricizing the (surprisingly large) “I-hate-flash-community” out there. Thanks Brian, for suggesting the code to me months ago.
I have noticed for the last couple of weeks that people seem to me just as nice as can be if you tell them what they want to hear. If you argue against them (specifically people that come up to the helpdesk) all hell breaks loose. I have been bitched at, hung up on, argued with, had people request comment cards and supervisors all because I don’t tell them exactly what they want to hear. Do people out there think that if they yell at me loud enough a policy is going to change? That makes as much sense as walking into a McDonalds and complaining because they charge too much for a hamburger. The cashiers / HUB analysts don’t make the decisions, so why do we get chewed out?
In closing, people suck.
Um, I work at BlockBuster Video, and would wager money that you yourself have bitched about a late fee at one time or another. So quit crying already. =p

People are stupid. They think that if they yell at the lowest person on the chain that they will get their way because that person is weak. They think that you will avoid all confrontation and give in to their demands. It happens everywhere you go so don't worry about it.
