ARRUUGH!!! I am really hating the Audigy 2 card right now. I simply want surround sound. Is this so much to ask? This audio stuff gets real technical real fast. I sent a detailed email asking for help and explaining what I had done. They referred me to an option in one of the utilities that simply DOES NOT EXIST. Everywhere it says go to this tab. THERE IS NO TAB!! Kill me now by handing Wendy the gun – she has been waiting for this day to come 🙂

What are you trying to have surround sound with? If it's just stereo mp3s, you need to enable CMSS. Also, make sure the WinXP speaker setting has your speaker configuration selected. Sometimes the Creative drivers don't synch with the Windows settings.

I have been fighting with the software forever, and now I realize that the problem is with the minijack. Apparently, I need a 4-pole minijack to correctly transmit the data. A stereo minijack splits up the sounds and only one set (the front) gets through.
